Summer Internship

Discover the fast-paced world of trading and technology through our Summer Internship Program. The 10-week program takes place from November 2024 through to February 2025 across Software, Hardware and Trading.

You will learn everything you need to know about financial markets, so no background knowledge is required. Through classroom training, projects, desk-shadowing and traditional simulations, you'll learn about market making, high-frequency trading and IMC's business model. At the end of the Internship, you will have the opportunity to secure a full-time role with us when you graduate.

Technical training

We design and develop all our technical training in-house. From options theory and a Python or C++ crash course, to lunch and learn sessions, all the content you need to excel.

Trading simulation

Put theory into practice. Develop your own trading strategies with our in-house simulation.

Mentor and peer support

To set you up for success, you'll be paired with a dedicated mentor or buddy who will provide intensive support overseeing your projects and professional development. You will also be supported by our talented employees within and outside your team.

Meaningful projects and classroom-style learning 

From day one, you are immersed in real projects, complex problem solving and opportunities to learn from our strongest Traders and Engineers. You'll also take part in classroom-style learning, covering topics like Trades Analysis and Options Theory.

Flights and accommodation

Not from Sydney? As part of your internship, we'll take care of your flights and accommodation. 

Social events

Every week you will participate in a range of social activities. Past activities included the Harbour Bridge climb, escape rooms, barefoot lawn bowls, cocktail making, painting and much more.
