The Programme
Objectives of the Position:
Corporate Audit supports the BASF Board of Executive Directors in its responsibility to perform supervisory, steering and control activities.
It is an integral part of BASF’s internal control and risk management system. It has teams spread over 4 continents of the globe.
This position will be a part of the Asia-Pacific hub of the global Corporate Audit function.
Main Task:
- Assist in planning and conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes.
- Support audit teams in gathering and analyzing data, documenting findings, and preparing audit reports.
- Help perform analytical reviews of financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for efficiency enhancements.
- Assist in maintaining audit documentation and ensuring compliance with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.
- Attending internal audit meetings and contribute ideas to enhance audit methodologies and practices.
Required Skills and Abilities
Educational Background:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
- Completion of introductory courses in auditing or internal controls is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with auditing standards and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with data analysis tools or accounting software (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
Data Science Skills:
- Understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis is preferred.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations based on findings.
Attention to Detail:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing documents and reports.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to group objectives.
- Willingness to assist team members and take on various tasks as needed.

- Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
