CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. Looking to gain hands-on Chemical Engineering experience that counts toward your degree and earns academic credit?

The 12-week Chemical/Processing Engineering Internship Program is designed for engineering students in Australia. Itโ€™s an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, develop industry skills, and engage in real-world engineering tasks.

Ideal for international students studying at Australian universities, the program provides direct industry exposure with local businesses. Itโ€™s also available to domestic students.

Not required to complete an internship for your degree?
Or have you recently graduated?

No problem. You can still enrol and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

CareerDC has been coordinating degree-relevant internships since 2011, connecting local and international students in Australia with host companies that suit their preferences in terms of start date, location, and internship duration.

Examples of our host companies include:

  • An Australian tech company focused on sustainability, food, and feed solutions
  • A leading manufacturer of polymer sheets
  • A life sciences firm supporting global research in academia and industry

Your internship tasks may include:

  • Researching sustainability, food, and feed challenges for ongoing projects
  • Supporting multidisciplinary teams with data analysis, experimental design, and documentation
  • Collaborating on solution assessments and improvements
  • Providing technical support to teams or divisions
  • Participating in technical projects and product development
