Mechatronics Internship Program

CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

Gain practical industry insights and develop your professional skills in an internship that matches your Mechatronics engineering specialisation.

The Mechatronics Engineering Internship Program is designed for students who need study-related work experience and academic credit for the internship.

It’s a good option for international engineering students in Australia who’d like to get local work experience with Australian businesses. The program is open to domestic engineering students as well.

If you are a new graduate or if your degree does not require you to do an internship, you can still enrol in the internship program and combine it with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC, work experience placement coordinators. We help engineering students in Australia get hands-on work experience in internship placements with local host companies.

The Mechatronics Engineering Internship Program will be matched to meet your internship preferences and needs, including start date, duration and location.

To give you some examples, the host companies include:

  • A company in Victoria that supplies specialised hardware and critical devices to clients in the aerospace and construction industries.
  • An organisation in Western Australia specialising in medical technology.
  • A NSW-based company that customises equipment for the petrochemical and HVAC industries.

As another example, and depending on your internship host company, your internship placement could include any combination of the following types of learning experiences:

  • Hands-on experience in designing prototypes, testing machines and mechanical frameworks and developing algorithms.
  • Assisting with design calculations to optimise robotic systems.
  • Hands-on experience in applying principles of machine learning to improve process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with professional engineers and project managers to understand the requirements and scope of robotics projects.
  • Assisting with manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Gaining an understanding of the manufacturing process in relation to designing a new product.
  • Learning about stress analysis of mechanical components.

Apply now and contact CareerDC to get full details on the internship program, how it works and what is included. There is a coordination fee that comes with the internship program and the internship placement.
