The Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate and Solutions (DCMS&S) is looking for outstanding individuals who have graduated recently (less than 2 years ago) to join the team as a full time associate in 2025!

We are looking for people who are client and solutions orientated with strong communication skills and attention to detail, driven to support our high performing team to continue to deliver growth.

Role definition:

• The main responsibility of this role is to support senior corporate originators including maintaining client databases, documentation management and assistance with delivering and executing bond mandates for all markets in which Westpac is active or has aspirations.

• The client set covers all corporate borrowers in Australia as well as maintaining coverage/execution responsibilities for certain corporate clients

• The role requires co-ordination with the broader origination team as well as with the relationship managers in CIB. 

Accountabilities:

• To support senior originators

• Maintain required databases of deal information.

• Work with relevant Relationship Managers and other key Westpac product personnel to maximise any leverage Westpac has with this client set

• Facilitate effective information flow between issuer, and the syndicate desks and indirectly to the distribution platforms.

• Work with the issuer to arrange for documentation of programmes if required and the settlement of primary transactions where necessary.

• Work on other aspects of the execution process including preparing/arranging roadshows & marketing materials

Objectives:

• Position Westpac as the leader in A$ and NZ$ debt issued by allocated client base and as a “trusted adviser” in all markets in which Westpac is active.

• Actively participate in the marketing strategy to these and other clients, including taking responsibility for providing all regular updates to this base (and for wider distribution).

• Support coverage and other responsibilities within the corporate client set as agreed with the Head of Corporate Origination

• Assist and support operational excellence with regard to meeting DCM & Syndicate policies and procedures and Financial Markets compliance plans.
